The initial concept behind Streamline was created by Russell Smith, due to his need for a better way to run and manage his painting business. When Russell started his painting company he looked at several software options for organizing it, but ended up settling on just using google drive because nothing was really sufficient for his needs. Russell quickly learned that his business was going to be limited in growth because of the inefficiency in completing the office work and managing everything. It turns out that around that same time, Russell was looking to buy out another local painting company. After managing the company for a few months to verify its operations, Russell saw that it too was struggling from the same problems he was experiencing. So, Russell decided to solve the problem. He worked on the painting during the day, and wrote software at night until he had a completed prototype/program to test the market with. During test marketing, Russell was met with very positive feedback. It was at this point that Russell partnered with his brother Josh, a senior software developer, to bring Streamline to you.
